The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever also known as a Toller was developed in the early 19th Century in Nova Scotia to toll,lure and retrive waterfowl from icy waters. They have a water repellent double coat of medium length.

The color of the Toller ranges in different shades of golden red through dark coppery red with lighter feathering on the underside of the tail, pantaloons and body.

They are very reliable, enthusiastic,intelligent and cheerful dogs. They make great companions and pets and are very loyal to their family.
